OMU Industrial Engineering Department Students Meet with Alumni
The “Alumni Talk” event, organized by the Ondokuz Mayıs University Industrial Engineering Department and the Industrial Engineering Excellence Society (EMMT), was held on March 11, 2026, at the OMU Industrial Engineering Department. During the event, alumni shared their career journeys and experiences in the professional world with current students.
The speakers included Yağmur ŞİŞMAN, Lean and Digital Transformation Specialist at Model Factory; Meriç ÖZDEMİR, SME Specialist at KOSGEB; and Deniz BİRİCİK, SAP BW Developer at YEDAŞ. The speakers shared their experiences, opportunities, and challenges in their careers, providing valuable insights into career paths.
The event covered topics such as post-graduation career planning, key competencies in the professional world, and the role of industrial engineers in various sectors. Students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the business world through the speakers' experiences.
The event was coordinated by EMMT Board Member Buse Çelik, and moderated by Buse Çelik and Kamer Demirbaş. During the question-and-answer session at the end of the talk, students had the opportunity to interact directly with alumni and learn about topics they were curious about. Small gifts were presented to the students at the end of the program. The "Alumni Talk," which garnered great appreciation for its warm and informative atmosphere, created a productive environment for sharing experiences for both alumni and students.
