The Department of Industrial Engineering and its professional community, the Society for Excellence in Industrial Engineering, regularly organize a Welcome Dinner each year to support the adaptation process of first-year students to the department and to strengthen intra-departmental communication.
In this context, the event, held on October 6, 2025, at the Atakum Municipality Wedding Hall, was attended by first-year students, members of the society, students from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years, and department faculty members. The welcome dinner allowed students to get to know the department culture closely and to interact with students from different grade levels, while also contributing to strengthening intra-departmental solidarity and a sense of belonging.
